If you need to bring or to defend an employment tribunal claim, our employment department has considerable experience of representing both employers and employees in the tribunal. As panel solicitors for a major trade union, our employment solicitors have particular expertise in advancing tribunal claims on behalf of individuals.
Beyond our expertise in the employment tribunal, we have considerable experience of dealing with appeals to the Employment Appeal Tribunal and to the Court of Session.
In many cases, we are able to offer individuals advice and representation on a legal aid basis. While civil legal aid is not available for representation in the employment tribunal, some cases may attract funding under the Scottish Legal Aid Board’s ‘advice by way of representation’ scheme (ABWOR). If financially eligible, we can also offer advice to clients under the ‘advice and assistance’ legal aid scheme.
