How to make a personal injury claim

So you've slipped on a wet floor. Or caught your hand in a machine at work. The question is: are you to blame?

All too often we shrug off personal injuries as "just bad luck" and bear the cost of hospital treatment, loss of wages and other consequences ourselves. But why should you have to do this, if you're not responsible?

Here's how to make a claim:

  1. Decide whether you were responsible for the injury. Could you have avoided it, or was it someone else's fault?
  2. If it wasn't your fault, identify whose fault it was. Was it your employer? Was it the owner of the shopping centre you were in? Was it the hospital where you were undergoing treatment?
  3. Work out how you have been affected by the injury. Are you able to work? Are you able to enjoy your favourite passtime? Have you had to pay for repairs or medical treatment?
  4. Contact us and discuss the details of your case. We'll help you to decide if you do have a valid claim, and we'll help you to progress it to a satisfactory conclusion.

You can contact us free by either:

  • using our online enquiry form
  • ringing our free phone number: 0500 600 872

Remember - if you are in any doubt, contact us to ask our opinion. It won't cost you a penny!
