Cleaner's arm is injured by faulty window - wins £27,000

The claim

Mrs X worked as a cleaner in a university. She opened a class room window. The window was faulty and came down suddenly onto her left hand. She suffered an injury to the hand and also a whiplash injury in the accident.

The result

We sued the university. They settled the case at the door of the court for the sum of £27,000 in compensation for the injury and loss of wages.
