Powers of attorney

A Power of Attorney allows you to nominate a trusted friend, family member or solicitor to look after your finances and property. This may be advisable due to infirmity, old age, travel abroad or simply in anticipation of these things in the future.

You can authorise your attorney to deal with your investments, buy and sell property, sign documents on your behalf, pay money in or out of your bank account etc.

It may also be desirable to nominate someone to deal with matters concerning your welfare in the event that you are no longer able to take these decisions yourself. A Power of Attorney could save a great deal of trouble and expense in the long term. We can advise on the procedures involved and whether this option is appropriate to your circumstances.
